Where is Binta House?
In Nungwi, on the northern tip of Zanzibar, a 7-minute walk from Nungwi beach.
Is Binta House on the beach?
No. We're a quiet Swahili villa a 7-minute walk from the beach, and we offer free rides to Nungwi beach and to Kendwa.
Is there a pool?
Yes, a swimming pool in the garden.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, free Wi-Fi throughout the house.
What about power cuts?
We have a generator backup, so the lights and fans keep running.
Can I smoke?
All rooms are non-smoking. There's a smoking area in the garden.

Which room is right for me?
Couples love Naila and Khadija (king bed, air conditioning, 17 m²). Three guests fit in Zuhura or Fatuma (king + single, 22 m²). Families and groups of four choose Sophia (double + two singles, 27 m²) or Fayza (king + queen, 25 m²). See all rooms.
Which rooms have air conditioning?
Naila, Khadija and Zuhura have air conditioning. Fatuma has fans. Sophia and Fayza are naturally ventilated, with a ceiling fan in Sophia and a standing fan in Fayza.
Do the rooms have private bathrooms?
Yes. Every room has its own private en-suite bathroom with a shower.
Food
Is breakfast included?
Yes. Breakfast, cooked by our dadas, is included in every stay.
Can I eat lunch and dinner at the house?
Yes, the dadas cook Swahili dishes on request. Just ask us at breakfast or before you arrive. More about our Swahili kitchen.
Can you cater for allergies or vegetarians?
Yes, just let us know when you book.
Getting here and around
How do I get from Zanzibar Airport to Nungwi?
Nungwi is about a 1 to 1.5 hour drive from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport. We have an airport shuttle you can book in advance: send us your flight details and ask us for the price.
Do you offer transport to the beach?
Yes, free rides to Nungwi beach and to Kendwa.
Can you arrange tours?

What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 2:00 PM, check-out by 11:00 AM.
